About the event
Advanced Training: Musicians in Tune
This training offers an approach to support musicians and artists in their artistic development and professional performance, while simultaneously promoting greater efficiency in self-organization with instrument or voice.
Using the Feldenkrais® Method, we explore the individual use of the skeleton and body structure, as well as the possibilities of improving overall performance through neurosomatic self-regulation. Particular attention is paid to the elements of weight, speed, and direction, and their influence on expression, sound, effort, tension, and inner balance. The professional lives of musicians and artists demand far more than technical mastery. They require a nuanced understanding of how one's own system can function most effectively with regard to preparation, practice habits, mental focus, regeneration, and ultimately, stage performance.
During this three-day workshop on the beautiful Fraueninsel (Women's Island) in Lake Chiemsee, participants will experience ATM lessons, demonstrations of Functional Integration, and diverse practical approaches to supporting musicians and artists—both on and off stage. It is not necessary to be a musician or performing artist to participate in this training.

On Saturday and Sunday, we offer optional individual sessions in Functional Integration, with or without an instrument. If you are interested, please register early as places are limited.
